ECTMarine Team Provides Pre-Commissioning Support in Mexico and South Africa

Over the past few weeks, the ECTMarine team has been actively traveling to project sites in Mexico and South Africa. These visits are part of their pre-commissioning support for the construction of a complete cutter suction dredger and systems for a series of trailer suction hopper dredgers, executed in partnership with local shipyards. Pre-commissioning support is a critical aspect of ECTMarine's service offerings. It ensures the seamless execution of projects, ranging from single components to comprehensive turnkey builds of dredgers and workboats.

During the visits, the ECTMarine team undertook several key activities:

Inspecting the current state of the build.
Ensuring compliance of the build with the design specifications.
Assessing the condition of delivered systems.
Assisting local teams with the installation of systems and components.
Testing components, systems, and equipment where possible.
Overseeing the project timeline to ensure timely delivery.

Throughout the inspection rounds, the team identified issues and provided the necessary support and consultation to maintain project continuity. Each visit concluded with the compilation of a detailed report, documenting activities and discussions. These reports serve not only to record progress but also as a “lessons learned” tool for future projects.
