High efficiency loose soil dredging
Plain suction dredging is a method of dredging that involves using a suction pump to extract sediment. The suction pump is connected to a long pipe, which is used to transport the material to a designated location, such as a containment area or disposal site.

Plain suction dredger applications
Plain suction dredgers are typically purchased by organizations and companies involved in dredging operations for the purpose of:
- Mining soils: soils kan contain valuable materials that can be sold or certain sand types are valuable for use in different applications.
- Deepening of rivers, harbors and navigational channels, among others: when using the PSD for deepening, the soil must be free flowing and the bottom cannot be “flat” as a result.
- Tailings dredging: when the soil is loose and free flowing tailings can also be dredged in a mining situation.
